National Bird Day

To all you bird lovers and/or bird watchers out there, today is your day.

Today is National Bird Day. That’s right; “Bird” is the word!

Birds have been around since the beginning of time and they would probably be ruling the world if humans hadn’t done so first. Birds are smart, are in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and species and are vital to our ecosystem.

So, let’s use this day to show some appreciation to these fine feathered friends. You can use this day to watch cartoon birds like Foghorn, Tweety or, my favorite, Beaky Buzzard. Or you can go outside and do some bird watching and see how many you can name. You can use this site -> http://www.birds.com/species/ to help you identify any birds you might see or might have seen before but didn’t know what it was.

Personally, ever since I saw Alfred Hitchcock’s Birds, birds kind of frighten me. I’m probably just paranoid. I won’t deny thought that some of them are kinda cute and cool but don’t let your guard down too much. They might poop on your sparkling clean car if you upset them.

Anyways, show some love for the birds and any birds you might know and have a great day.
